So as y’all know, Spin The Vote was goin’ #YOLO with the rest of the neon-clad crowd at EDC NY two weekends ago. Besides registering new voters in tutus and snapping patriotic pics, Spin The Vote also decided to have some fun with the festival goers and get their opinion on one super serious political question: What would President Barack Obama, Republican contender Mitt Romney and Libertarian wild card Ron Paul ‘s DJ handles be?! So we bounced around Met Life stadium asking the masses (there were 100,000 EDM fans there over the 3 days) -- including an actual Electric Daisy, a red spirit wolf, Scooby Doo, and some girls rocking real flag flair -- what MC names they could make up, and the results were pretty hilar. Then we made this sweet video post of the best answers (sorry, Scooby – you didn’t make the cut) for MTV Act, the network’s pop political blog.

No matter which Presidential wannabe you dig -- DJ Barack The Beat, DJ Mitt Nasty or DJ Ronnie P -- you gotta fight for your right to dance or leave the fate of EDM to some stuffy politician who wouldn’t know Avicii if he dropped a beat on his face.
